Ingredients

  • 5 dl vanilla ice cream
  • 3 dl low-fat milk
  • 2 tbsp Nesquick chocolate powder optional
  • 3 tbsp caster sugar optional
  • 3 tbsp Nesquick strawberry optional, alternative flavor

Method

  1. Put the vanilla ice cream in the blender.
  2. Pour in the milk.
  3. Add flavoring to taste (strawberry, chocolate or vanilla syrup).
  4. Blend until you have a smooth consistency. A trick to keep it thick: turn the blender on and off in short bursts so the lumps sink down.

Notes

Storage: Best served immediately. Leftovers can be stored in the freezer for an hour to firm up again.
Tips: Use full-fat vanilla ice cream for the creamiest texture. The fat content is what makes it taste like the original.
Variations: Add Oreo cookies for a premium version, or use strawberry/chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla.
FAQ:
Can I make it without a blender? Yes, shake it in a sealed jar, but the texture will not be as smooth.
What if it gets too thin? Add more ice cream and blend briefly.
